Holidays
Top ten things I love about the holidays:
1] Snow. I generally hate snow. Every so often, however, I realize how beautiful it really is and that I love the way it crunches under my feet.
2] Christmas Sweaters. Especially teacher's Christmas sweaters. I think when I become a teacher, I'll wear one once a year just for fun.
3] City Christmas Lights. All the trees and street lamps look so pretty covered in strings of lights. It makes me want to put on my hat and a scarf and stroll around downtown.
4] Month long break from classes. Do I really need to say more?
5] Giving presents. There's nothing more exciting that finding the perfect gift for someone. Even if it's small, even if it's a piece of paper, it's something that shows you care for that person.
6] Receiving presents. If you are one of those people who say you don't like getting presents for Christmas, you need to stop lying. You're making all of us look bad.
7] Christmas Music. It makes everything better. It makes my shifts at work go so much faster, even though the station never plays my favorite:
8] Christmas Trees. I love coming home to see a lighted tree in the window. Now that I have a real tree for the first time in years, it's even better. The whole house smells delightful.
9] The Nutcracker. I finally get to see the ballet this year for the first time since high school. It's one of my favorite things and I can't believe I've missed it so many years in a row.
10] Going home to see family and friends. Whether I'm going to Vegas to see my dad or Pocatello to see my mom, I get to see people I love. And that's awesome.

october's beginning
an empty house leaves room for wandering minds and quiet imaginations.
with no business to attend to and not a soul to appease,
thoughts fall on more solemn things.

I was, to say the least, excited
Josh served as our pack mule so that my dancing could continue unobstructed for the remainder of the evening
So it begins, with Big Eyed Fish into Bartender
Bartender outro with Jeff Coffin on pennywhistle
ladies and gentlemen, Dave Matthews
I swear he kept looking at me... obviously not in this photo. He was too busy screaming.
happy fun time glasses
Boyd Tinsley on the violin
Tim Reynolds is from another planet
Rashawn was sporting Boise State apparel

demon mutant cat dreads (a completely unrelated title)
I love you, but I'm not sure how much longer I can endure your mood swings. Please stop making me enjoy your company one minute only to make me regret being in your presence the next by treating me like I don't deserve to live.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Somebody should write a book about you, or something.
